Pavel Roučka, painter, printmaker and illustrator, lives in Prague and Desna in the Jizera Mountains/Czech republic. The Galluzzos met him this past March when they were traveling in Europe.
Roučka’s artwork is finely balanced between concerns of human meaning and the techniques used to convey them. A basic concept (in the form of a conscious idea or possibly only an intuitive feeling) takes shape in ways that often surprise the artist himself making the overall harmony and structure of the picture paramount.
