The 13th Annual Blue and Gold

An opportunity to browse and purchase interesting and compelling art while supporting the students and the Art Department of our local regional high school, Housatonic Valley Regional High School.

The 13th Annual Blue & Gold at The White runs May 18 - 20 with an opening artists' reception Friday, May 18 from 5 to 7 PM with awards presented at 6 pm. The art show is the premier showcase for artwork from the students at Housatonic Valley Regional High School, and is also a fundraiser for the art department.

Eighty-percent of the proceeds from the sale of the student's artwork goes directly back to the student artists whose work sells at the opening and the balance goes to the school's art program. This year's show covers a broad spectrum of mediums including acrylics; watercolors, graphite, pen and ink, charcoal drawings, mixed media collage, digital designs, black and white and color photography, animation, and sculptures in many mediums.
Additional sponsors for the Blue & Gold are John Borden, William Pitt Sotheby's International Realty; Deano's Pizza; The Sharon Woman's Club; and The Hills. All proceeds from the sale are used for art awards and
scholarships, to underwrite the cost of field trips, and to support the new exhibition space at the high school library.

Saturday and Sunday, the Gallery will be open from 11 to 4PM. Purchased art will be available on Sunday afternoon after 2PM.
